Ginza Tenkuni

I visited at 11:30 on Tuesday.Before opening, 20 people were lined up, but there were so many seats that we could sit right away.Seats were buried in about 15 minutes from opening.I ordered 1100 yen lunch bowl (for miso soup with incense) and 270 yen for lunch beer at lunch (until 5 pm on weekdays).Lunch bowls are 2 shrimp, 1 tail, and 1 fried squid. Shrimp is small, but the texture of the body is firm. Since it is firmly lifted up to the tail, you can enjoy the strong smell of shrimps who ate to the tail.I think that 鱚 is so so. .Squid is soft and easy to eat.The taste is rare for a look, and the fragrant smell of sauce is made.The clothes are moist and sucking well.I picked pickled vegetables with wasabi and wasabi, I think that it is good for drinking sake.The correspondence of the staff is also polite and can be likable.

If you like tempura, this place is not a bad place for its taste and services. They also have other menus for tendon. The price is not too cheap, but not too expensive. They have different floors. You might wanna reserved before coming in and check when they are open.

Relocated a little away from Chuo-dori last month. I went for the first time after relocation. We had it fried in front of us on the second floor counter and enjoyed many seasonal blessings such as bamboo shoots and butterbur sprout. Shiitake mushrooms and scallops in the bowl, both of which were thick, had a good way of setting fire and were excellent. It's a bit luxurious for lunch, but I definitely want to go again.

Tempura is good, but not super tasty place. If you want to enjoy Japanese traditional true way of tempura with reasonable price, please visit. If you are looking for super super gorgeous taste, here is not the place.

Convenient location near Shimbashi. Quality is just so-so.

Good food, very traditional

Headed in for a beer, but because it’s a restaurant we had to order food which is understandable not knowing their culture. Service was great except for a man who wasn’t too accommodating. Food was sub standard for tempura dining. Probably wouldn’t come back again.

If you are looking for tendon restaurant with reasonable price, moderate taste, and large seating capacity, this place may be good for you. However, if you are looking for very high-quality tendon, I recommend you to consider other places.

Where traditional Tondong comes to mind. It is kind and clean. The outgoing BGM is a light classical atmosphere that makes it uncommon.

Unfortunately not so great. I can find better tendon at Singapore.

First time come to ginza and you will try harder to stop your money coming out from your wallet 😂😁

Tasty Tempura, nice location, affordable lunch menu available

Chanced upon this place because of the queue outside and decided to try. Has an English menu for foreigners and service always quick and excellent. Food wise is great as well. Had the tempura unagi which tasted awesome

A long-established store. transfer. It is lonely that the building there was gone when I was curious.The parlor course was normal. Since it is not eaten at the counter, the original freshly fried tempura cannot be evaluated.

Japanese friends treated us to a fantastic lunch at the basement Tempura Bar on our last day in Japan. Our reservation was for 11:30, at their opening time, and though a group of people had clustered by the door, we were ushered right into our preset seats and served almost instantly. The place is large, beautifully decorated, and exudes class. Service was impressive and ever polite. The chef showed us a platter of the food he planned to cook for us and was amenable to making substitutions. Three of us opted for vegetarian tempura and it went well with the pickles, rice, miso soup, and tea. We had both salt and tempura sauce dipping options—all was yummy!

Since a new store was opened, I visited for lunch after a long time. The restaurant became an open kitchen and the tempura was very delicious. The clerk is also kind, and even one person can enjoy lunch without hesitation.

Service was great yet the food was disappointing given the price. It had a nice ambiance and good views.

Because it is not fast food like Tendon Tenya which is very fast-food, here it is much slower in the process of serving the meat ... Chawan Mushi tastes ok.I think it's not much different from the fast food restaurant mentioned earlier. But the ingredients are more complete and healthy in Tenkuni from fast food.

This place is fantastic - simple fare with an accommodating staff that is kind a welcoming. We heard about this place from a Netflix Show called "Japan Style Originator" (the 24 hrs in Tokyo episode, I think) and learned about the history, process, style, etc. This place has been on business for over 100 years and you can see why. The tempura was delicious and the flavors of the pickles, sauce, and miso complemented each other well. For a such a simple meal, it felt like a gourmet experience. And the price is excellent less than 4000 yen for two adults!
